Concrete Dumpster Pads & Loading Dock Aprons Nampa ID

Dumpster enclosures and loading docks take the heaviest, most concentrated loads on a commercial site. A loaded garbage truck sets its front wheels and forks down in the same spot every week, and delivery trucks turn and brake on dock aprons all day. Asphalt in those spots ruts and breaks up; a properly built concrete pad doesn't.

Dumpster and Trash Enclosure Pads

We pour enclosure pads and the approach slab in front of them so the truck's front wheels sit on concrete, not on the asphalt lot. Pads are sloped to drain, built to the thickness on your plans, and set at the right height for the enclosure walls and gates.

Nampa's Design Review Guidelines (section 2.2) say trash receptacles go in service areas at the side or rear of a site, not visible from abutting streets, and screened with durable materials such as CMU block that match the main building. The City gives staff some flexibility on location, with input from the trash hauler on access. That means the pad location is usually set during design review, and we build to the approved site plan.

Loading Dock Aprons

The apron in front of a dock takes trailer landing gear, tight turns and constant braking. We pour dock aprons in heavy-duty concrete, slope them away from the building to keep water off the dock, and tie the joints into the building and lot. Nampa's guidelines ask that loading docks be placed at the rear or sides of a building, away from streets and residential property, unless screened. City Code 10-22-7 sets each off-street loading space at no less than 35 by 12 feet with 15 feet of clear height, surfaced to the same standard as parking.

Transformer, Generator and Mechanical Pads

Utility transformers, standby generators and rooftop-unit ground equipment sit on pads sized to the equipment and the utility's or manufacturer's details. We form those to the dimensions and thickness on your plans, with embeds and conduit sleeves placed before the pour.

Pairing Pads With Paving

Pads usually go in alongside a new or rebuilt concrete parking lot, or as a standalone fix where asphalt has failed in front of the enclosure. Interior dock floors are covered on our warehouse floor slabs page.

Priced From Plans

Pad thickness, reinforcement and size come from the site plan and details, so we price from those. If you're replacing a failed area with no drawings, we'll measure on site and propose a scope.
